How can I enter my patent in the Dutch Database Patent Licenses?
Patents can be entered in the database free of charge by both patent owners and anyone who has applied for a Dutch patent.
You are a patent owner
Do you own one or more patents that you wish to enter in the database?
You will need to complete a form called a Declaration of willingness to provide a license (pdf). In order to process your application, the patent number and the patent owners’ details you entry must match the data in the Netherlands Patent Register. You can see which data are registered with us by looking up your patent in the register.
Do not forget to provide contact details on this form in order to enable parties interested in your patent to contact you. It is important that the information on the contact person is complete.
The form must be signed by all patent owners. We cannot enter your patent in the database without these signatures.
Send the completed and signed form to:
Netherlands Patent Office
P.O. Box 10366
2501 HJ The Hague
We will ensure that your patent is entered in the database.
You have filed a patent application
Have you filed a (European) patent application in the territory of the Netherlands that has not yet been granted? You can apply to have your patent entered in the Dutch Database Patent Licenses in advance. You will need to complete a Declaration of willingness to provide a license (pdf) and follow the steps above. Instead of a patent number you can enter your patent application number, which you can find in the letter of confirmation of your patent application.
Have your contact details changed or do you wish to remove your patent from the Dutch Database Patent Licenses? You can do this by using the Declaration of willingness to provide a license (pdf).
